Ride Chao Phraya Express boat
On the river Chao Phraya there is a route made for boats that works very much like buses between the dozens of stops along the riverbanks of the crowded Bangkok. It’s a very cheap alternative way of traveling and getting to know a bit more of Bangkok without getting stuck in traffic. Each ride costs 15 Bahts and you can buy a daily ticket for 120 Bahts.
Get a Thai massage
You can find it on every corner of the most touristic streets and the prices are ok. From 120 Bahts onward for 30 minutes. It’s definitely a good way of relaxing your legs after a full day exploring the city.
Eat some street food
As a good alternative to the restaurants that might be a bit more expensive, Bangkok offers a great variety of street food. For as little as 30 Bahts you can have a big dish of typical Thai dish like Pad Thai or Sticky Rice with mango.
Ride a Tuk Tuk
It’s almost mandatory to ride a Tuk Tuk when in Thailand to move on short distances. It might even be more expensive than a regular taxi, but it just has to be done. Trips can be hallucinating.
Drink a lot in Khao San Road
Khao San Road is the legendary street for the backpacker looking to party and as so, no trip to Bangkok should be complete without a few drinks there.
Eat a bug
Part of the Asian culture is made out its gastronomy and part of its gastronomy is made of stuff that us, westerners, consider being weird, like eating fried bugs, larvas, scorpions or spiders . Do you have a stomach for that? Do not miss your shot in Bangkok.
Renato
My FAVOURITE thing to do in Bangkok was the Chatuchak weekend market. It might be a little overwhelming at first but will be enough to convert you to a lover of Bangkok for life. I was lost in there for about ten hours , and found so many amazing clothes.

Och, we must have missed it! Looks great, thanks for the tip, maybe next time 🙂
